About the conference
During the conference, we want to consider whether we are really dealing with a crisis of masculinity. If so, in what areas is it visible: body image, mental health, emotional? Is there only one correct male pattern, or is masculinity constructed on a spectrum? How masculinity is portrayed in various cultural practices - literature, movies, series, performances, computer games?
Can men freely practice and show their masculinity in public spaces? Is masculinity based on exclusions and is it possible to speak of inclusive masculinity? How is masculinity connected with war, refugee, power, poverty, care, tenderness? What role does homosociality play in creating masculinity? Let these questions be the starting point for a larger discussion of masculinity.
