What is Equality University?
It is a project financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + program. Equality University is about creating a strategic partnership between three organizations: Institute for Prevention of Exclusions (Poland), Social Hub Association (Bulgaria) and Social Science Works (Germany).
The priority area for the project is educating about non-heteronormative people and refugees. The main design activities will be in Sofia and in Potsdam, for people working
with youth, in organizations forming a project consortium and international training for young people on preventing exclusion. The training will take place in April 2023 in Toruń, Poland.
The aim of the project is to develop strategies involving non-heteronormative people and refugees and determining how to counteract their exclusion, discrimination and stigmatization.
Equality University is so much more!
Equality University is not only about organizing three different activities
in three European countries .
As part of the Equality University, we want,
in the future, to create an educational platform on which we will post entries, videos, presentations, campaign content. Equality University is a community of committed people for whom the subject of exclusion and inclusion of non-heteronormative and refugee persons is important. We create a community to inspire and provide tools for activists, youth and youth workers on how to work for LGBTQIA + and refugees.
Equality University combines two perspectives: activist and scientific.
Therefore, we will invite female scientists to join our activities and scientists
and activists. We believe that only by combining these two perspectives will we be able and able to change the world!
We encourage you to co-create the Equality University - a unique place where we will learn from each other using non-formal education methods.
BE EQUAL - BE INCLUDED
IDEA
EDUCATION ABOUT NON-HETERONORMATIVE PERSONS
AND REFUGEES
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE EQUALITY UNIVERSITY NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
ENCOURAGING PEOPLE WANTING TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE
AND TOOLS FOR COUNTERACTING EXCLUSION.
CREATE A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONS
LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE
In European countries, many non-heteronormative people experience homophobia
and hate speech.
Experience of exclusion, stigmatization
and marginalization due to psychosexual orientation should not take place.
Let's work together
and let's counteract the exclusion of LGBTQIA + people!
Refugees
To this day, in the countries of Western Europe, we can see how refugees are marginalized. Host societies are not favorable to foreigners.
This mainly applies to people with a skin color other than white.
In Poland, we see it particularly strongly in the example of refugees who were held on the Polish-Belarusian border and died
in the woods. Unfortunately, they are still there today
and still die ...

Brave & Proud
I'm enough! Regardless of who we are, where we live, and who we love, we deserve support, love and understanding. Become an ally and encourage those people who, for various reasons, do not have it.
The #BraveAndProud campaign was recorded during the meeting in Sofia, with the participation of people from the "Equality University" project. Below are recordings in English and national languages.
